Who is KP?

I am KP – or to be more accurate I am Kristian Ponsford

Born in Plymouth but I now live in Cornwall and in between I have lived in Essex, Manchester & North Wales.

I am married to the amazing Sophie, father to Josiah.
I head up the Become Worship Academy in Cornwall. I’m also a worship pastor, Elim minister, published song writer, Ableton Live trainer, Worship Central Advisor and part of the Loop Community team.

It has been my massive privilege to lead worship at the New Wine summer festivals, Spring Harvest (UK & France) as well as Creation Fest UK.

My passion for technology and Ableton Live have seen my articles published on, Musicademy, and many other sites. I have also been invited to teach on Ableton in Worship at numerous events including the Worship Central Conference.

I’m blessed by endorsements with Keith McMillan, Focusrite & 1964 Ears.

John Glass – General Superintendent, Elim Pentecostal Churches

Kristian Ponsford has the ability to lead people into the presence of God through an anointed music ministry that keeps the focus of the worshipper on the person of Jesus.
Kristian carries my wholehearted recommendation

Chip Kendall – Singer/Songwriter/Communicator

Kristian is a great friend and one seriously anointed worship leader. Young people and not-so-young people equally find his approach extremely accessible and engaging. I highly recommend him to anyone. He’s awesome!

Bethany Abbott – Core Team Leader – New Wine & Spring Harvest

Kristian is an excellent worship leader. Musically he is incredibly gifted and is innovative in his style and use of secular tracks to make songs memorable and contemporary, a real asset when working with young people and those that are un-churched. However, what impressed me most when being on team with Kristian was not his musical talent, but his ability to lead a congregation beyond just joining in with songs. Modelled by his own passion for God to be glorified and facilitated by his spiritual sensitivity, he inspires an attitude of worship and leads people into God’s presence. As a band leader Kristian has invested into younger musicians, mentoring them into servant hearted, God seeking worshipers themselves; leading by example. I have never witnessed him give less than 100%, on stage or offstage. It is a privilege to know him and to serve on teams with him.
