This year at New Wine we tried out 3D In Ear Monitoring from Klang
I am KP – or to be more accurate I am Kristian Ponsford
Born in Plymouth but I now live in Cornwall and in between I have lived in Essex, Manchester & North Wales.
I am married to the amazing Sophie, father to Josiah & Micah
I’m a worship pastor, Elim minister, published song writer, Ableton Live trainer, Worship Central Advisor and part of the Multitracks.com team.
It has been my massive privilege to lead worship at the New Wine summer festivals, Spring Harvest (UK & France) as well as Creation Fest UK.
My passion for technology and Ableton Live have seen my articles published on Worshipleader.com, Musicademy, WeAreWorship.com and many other sites. I have also been invited to teach on Ableton in Worship at numerous events including the Worship Central Conference.
I’m blessed by endorsements with Ableton, G7th Capos, Keith McMillan, Focusrite & 1964 Ears.
John Glass – General Superintendent, Elim Pentecostal Churches
Kristian Ponsford has the ability to lead people into the presence of God through an anointed music ministry that keeps the focus of the worshipper on the person of Jesus.
Kristian carries my wholehearted recommendation
Chip Kendall – Singer/Songwriter/Communicator
Kristian is a great friend and one seriously anointed worship leader. Young people and not-so-young people equally find his approach extremely accessible and engaging. I highly recommend him to anyone. He’s awesome!
Bethany Abbott – Core Team Leader – New Wine & Spring Harvest
Kristian is an excellent worship leader. Musically he is incredibly gifted and is innovative in his style and use of secular tracks to make songs memorable and contemporary, a real asset when working with young people and those that are un-churched. However, what impressed me most when being on team with Kristian was not his musical talent, but his ability to lead a congregation beyond just joining in with songs. Modelled by his own passion for God to be glorified and facilitated by his spiritual sensitivity, he inspires an attitude of worship and leads people into God’s presence. As a band leader Kristian has invested into younger musicians, mentoring them into servant hearted, God seeking worshipers themselves; leading by example. I have never witnessed him give less than 100%, on stage or offstage. It is a privilege to know him and to serve on teams with him.
Sarah Yardley – Creation Fest Coordinator
Kristian Ponsford is a gifted, Spirit-led, excellent worship leader. I’ve worked with him in a variety of spaces, and seen him creatively and consistently point people to Jesus in the way he leads. It’s rare to see a worship leader who balances the use of modern technology with musical excellence, always backed by a strong team. Above all, I admire the way he leads with grace and friendship.
Gavin Calver – Director of Mission at Evangelical Alliance UK
Kristian leads worship with wonderful sensitivity, dynamic creativity and a heart firmly fixed on honouring Jesus. I cannot recommend this great man highly enough
Ian McIntosh – Jesus Culture & Bethel
Kristian was mentioned briefly in Issue 1 as the guy who introduced many of us to the Max4Live device Follow. He’s a really talented worship leader out of England, who is putting out incredible Ableton resources. Seriously, his videos are really well done.
He’s put out quite a few videos that many people would find helpful – including things like syncing Pro Presenter, OnSong, and the like.
Whenever people ask me questions about the really practical and innovative uses for media and Live, I usually go “blank”…. and then send them to KP ;)

Today I want to honour an amazing man, Jason Ray Schoepfer. Jason had a dream to connect like minded worship musicians through social media and he started a group for keyboard players who used a piece of software called Omnisphere. The group was called Hillsong Omnisphere Sounds and in little over the year that group grew to over […]
